Barb Greenberg is a Divorce Coach for Women, an Author & Speaker
(based in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis-St. Paul, Minnesota)
Greetings to All Women Seeking to Be The Heroine of Their Own Story,
We all have stories. Sharing our stories helps us learn and grow, for stories can inspire and guide. They can touch our hearts and give us hope.
As a divorce coach, an author and a speaker, I believe in the healing power of stories. I believe that as women heal, so do families, and as families heal so do communities, and as communities heal, so may the world. And I am dedicated to empowering women to reach their full potential and live happy and rewarding lives.
My New Book Empowers Women
My new fairy tale book After the Ball: A Woman’s Tale of Reclaiming Happily Ever After can help women find the inner strength and courage to take charge of their own lives and their own happiness.
What Really Happened to Snow White & Cinderella?
In sharing the story of what happens to Snow White and Cinderella after they ride off to the palace with the handsome prince, After the Ball reveals the universal truth about the power of women to transform their lives and become the heroines of their own stories.
Women Need to Reclaim Their Voice, Wisdom & Power
The message in my book is resonating with women, and book reviewers are saying this book is destined to become a classic. After the Ball can be used as a healing guide, and it is my genuine desire to place this book in the hands of as many women as possible so they can use it as a road map to reclaiming their voice and their wisdom and their power.
My Personal Journey
My personal journey has taken me to many unexpected places and has prompted me to grow and change in ways that have been both painful and rewarding. The first unexpected place for me on my journey was becoming one of the top independent sales directors for the Mary Kay organization.
Training & Motivating Women
What started out as a part-time consultancy to pay a board bill for my horse led to me earning a position in the top 2% of consultants in the country. Part of my job was to motivate and train women, both new and seasoned consultants, and I discovered that one of my great passions is supporting women to be successful, happy and whole.
My Life Changes Forever
Then, a very unexpected event happened that was going to take me to a place both figuratively and literally that was going to change my life forever.
A Parent's Worst Nightmare
In 1998, my husband and I received a phone call from Australia, informing us that our college-age daughter had been in a life-threatening car accident. We traveled to be with my daughter at her hospital bedside in that distant land, and her lengthy and arduous healing process became the catalyst for the healing of deep parts of me I had never really known were wounded.
A Miraculous Recovery & My Own Crisis
My first book Hope Grew Round Me chronicles my daughter’s miraculous recovery and how it became the impetus for me to courageously begin the process of my own personal healing. I discovered pieces of myself that were broken and damaged, and what began as a crisis ended up as a transformation.
The End of My Marriage
This transformation led to the end of my marriage of 33 years, and subsequent years of self-discovery and self-healing that led me to write my second book After the Ball.
Speaking & Seminars / Renewing Hope for Divorced Women
I enjoy my life as a writer and speaker, and I have spoken to dozens of groups about embracing hope and change. I have also conducted many seminars on renewing hope for divorced or divorcing women, and I teach a class on how to live “happily ever after”—with or without a prince.
Learn to Trust Yourself
I am the proud mother of two extraordinary daughters and an adoring grandmother and my wish for you is that you will heed the message from the fairy godmother in After the Ball she whispers to the princess, “Trust yourself, my sweet dear, trust yourself.”
To your success and happiness,
Barb Greenberg
